Beginner Hatha Yoga Flow Class:
This class offers a nurturing environment for beginner students to learn the foundations of yoga, increase flexibility & core strength, and calm the mind and spirit. Students will learn precise alignment principals in the asanas(poses), breathing techniques (pranayama), and the basic sun salutations, followed by a guided meditation to relieve stress and revitalize the spirit. Mixed Level Vinyasa Yoga Class:
This mixed level Vinyasa class invites you to flow with your breath through sequences designed to enhance strength, flexibility, and balance, while deepening your connection between mind, body, and spirit. Enjoy an emphasis on precise alignment to allow advanced students to deepen their practice, and modifications for level 1 students to advance whilst honoring their limitations. Belly Dance Class:
Explore your connection to your feminine mystique & sensuality through the ancient art of Belly Dancing. As you learn to move your body to the undulating rhythms, you will gain flexibility, tone the abs, thighs, and arms, and strengthen your core muscles. The class will develop your flexibility through stretching exercises, teach the basics of belly dance techniques, and culminate in dance choreography that allows you to express your inner Diva. Whether or not you have any experience, you will learn self-expression through the graceful movement of dance. Wear comfortable clothes that allow freedom of movement. No shoes necessary, as we dance barefoot. Bring bottled water, and a yoga mat, if you have one, for the cool down stretches. Please check my calendar for time, dates, and location.
Latin Fusion - Beginner level
This is a 5 week series, but you can jump in any time. Single classes are $15, or you can get a 5 class card for $70 & save money. Friday Sept.16th only, if you buy a 5-class card, you get the 6th class free! Learn the basics of rumba, mambo, cha cha, salsa, merengue, cumbia, and more at a beginner level that's easy to follow, even if you say you have two left feet. Before you know it, you'll be moving your hips and feet to a Latin beat and toning your body at the same time. The class will begin with dynamic warm up stretches, followed by instruction on basic dance moves culminating in choreographed floor patterns, and end with core strength exercises and cool down stretches.
Bring a yoga mat if you have one, bottle water, a small hand towel, and wear comfy clothes that are easy to move in, such as yoga pants and top. You can either dance without shoes, or wear soft-soled jazz or ballet pumps that are made specifically for dance. Please check my calendar for time, dates, and location.
Private & Semi-private Classes:
I offer private or semi-private classes at your own home (within 10 mile radius) or in the studio (times subject to studio availability).
